Richard Joseph Fischer, 88 of Prior Lake, Minnesota passed away peacefully on January 16, 2018 at Friendship Manor in Shakopee, Minnesota of natural causes. Richard will be laid to rest at Credit River Cemetery on July 19, 2018 to commemorate his 89 th birthday. Richard’s wishes were to be cremated, and there will be a private family memorial gathering.
Richard was the son of Ralph & Monica (Emter) Fischer of Glen Ullin, ND and is survived by his wife-Joanne, brother-Tony, sister-Marlys, Daughters-Connie, Renee, Denise, son-Jim and numerous grandchildren.
Richard worked as a CPA in Minneapolis and enjoyed running his own business. He had many longtime clients, of which many became his close friends. He proudly served in the United States Army as a Cpl. during the Korean War from 1951 until he was honorably discharged in 1956. He liked the outdoors pheasant hunting, bowling, playing cribbage, yahtzee, and especially delighted in gardening activities.
