Bob Pecholt passed away on June 12, 2024 at the age of 75.
A Gathering of Family & Friends will be held at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation (104 First Street West) in Jordan on Friday, June 21, 2024 from 1:00 – 3:00 PM with closing prayers at 3:00 PM.
Robert Emil Pecholt was born to parents William & Bessie Pecholt on January 30, 1949. He was one of 15 children and loved growing up in New Prague. Bob attended St. Wenceslaus through sixth grade and then began working to help support his family.
Over the years he worked many different jobs in the surrounding communities, New Prague, Montgomery and Chaska. Bob’s favorite job was as a janitor at Jordan Elementary School. He made many wonderful friends with the staff and enjoyed spending his days surrounded by the fun energy from the students.
In his free time, Bob enjoyed drawing, cheering on the MN Twins and listening to music. He especially loved Bob Seager, Neil Young and all the oldies. Bob also enjoyed being with his family. He was married to Debra DeLong for 36 years, and their marriage was blessed with a wonderful daughter. Although they went their separate ways, Bob remained dedicated to his family. He really treasured the time he spent with his daughter, Amy and her family.
Bob lived a simple life. He was always kind, supportive and caring. Bob never said a bad word about anyone else, and he made friends easily. Simply put, Bob was a good guy, and he will be missed.
He is survived by his daughter, Amy Perales & son-in-law, Angel Perales; granddaughter, Taylor Khoune; brothers, Billy, Allen, Jimmy, Wayne; sisters, Joyce, Ruthie, Donna; other relatives and friends. Bob was greeted in Heaven by his parents, William & Bessie; brother, Danny; sisters, Sharon, Debbie, Brenda, Darlene and Karen; great-grandsons, Justin Khoune & Harrison Hernandez.
