Sally was born on September 7, 1943 to Harold and Erna (Toop) Voss and grew up with her brother, Richard, on the farm in Donnelly, MN. She graduated from the University of Minnesota – Morris in 1965 with a teaching degree and taught elementary school in Jordan at Sunset Elementary for many years before her retirement. She also enjoyed working at the Wooden Bird for a number of years.
Sally loved to garden, enjoy the birds, plants and the outdoors and spent lots of time with her cats. She was an avid Minnesota Twins fan over the years as well.
Most importantly, Sally was dedicated to the church. She was a founding member of Hope Lutheran Church when it formed in 1973 and was an organist there for 32 years. She also attended St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in her later years since it was just a nice easy walk away. Sally loved to worship Jesus as her Lord and Savior and study her bible. Her faith and love of Jesus was the cornerstone of her life.
Sally will be missed by her brother, Richard (Susan) Voss; nieces, Sindy (Jimmy) Shanks and Samantha Voss (Erick); great-nieces and nephews, Shaelie Shanks, Jaes Shanks, and Ciara Tau; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents.
