Sandra Gail Stocker, age 70, of Jordan, MN, passed away peacefully on February 3, 2025.

A Time of Gathering will be held from 4:00 - 7:00 PM on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Ballard-Sunder Funeral & Cremation, 104 1st St W, Jordan, MN 55352. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, 215 Main St E, New Prague, MN 56071 with Father Eugene Theisen presiding. Sandy will be laid to rest at St. Joseph Cemetery in Jordan.

Sandy was born on September 10, 1954 to Harry and Dorothy (Whipps) Barlage in New Prague, MN. The youngest of eight children, Sandy grew up on the family farm in St. Lawrence Township, where she worked milking the cows and doing chores. On the farm, she developed a life-long love of horses and frequently spent her free time riding her horse around the river bottoms. At the age of 17, Sandy graduated from Jordan High School and went to work at Lakeside Toy Factor for several years, moving with her family out to Le Center.

Sandy's life took a significant turn when she met Donald Stocker at the Scott County Fair in the beer garden. The two quickly formed a strong bond and were married on October 24, 1980, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jordan. Together, they were blessed with four children.

Donald and Sandy built a hog farm in Jordan, and operated side by side the rest of their careers. The only thing that was missing was a horse, and Sandy fixed that quickly, buying her own horse that she loved and cherished. She loved all of her pets and other animals, including many cats and dogs. As a family, they always visited family on Sundays and enjoyed summer vacations on occasion. Sandy cherished being a mother and grandmother. She loved making all of the holidays memorable. She always provided Valentine’s and Halloween treat bags and put up festive decorations. She was particularly fond of decorating for Christmas and always went all out with her family. Sandy enjoyed sledding and jumping on the trampoline with her grandkids, and spending time with her family. Later in life, she became an avid reader as well.

One of the things Sandy was most proud of was her Catholic faith. She grew up Methodist but later converted to Catholicism and showed great dedication to that faith. Her biggest priority in life was ensuring her children and grandchildren were baptized and married within the church.

Sandy is loved and will be greatly missed by her husband, Donald; children Lisa (Buck) Stilen, Clinton (Denice) Stocker, Nick (Crystal) Stocker, and Christine Stocker; grandchildren, Ellaina Stilen, Bryce Stilen, Ty Stocker, Kiki Stocker, Ana Stocker, Nevaeh Stocker, Noah Stocker, Caleb Stocker, and Hannah Stocker; brothers, Rolland (Janet) Barlage, and Gilbert (Patricia) Barlage; sisters, Hazel Planting, Maxine Cagle, Lois Maciejewski, and Roxanne (Roy) Strube; other relatives and friends.

She will be reunited in heaven with her parents, Harry and Dorothy Barlage; sister, Helen Leese; brothers-in-law, Wayne Planting, Kenneth Maciejewski, Peter Brandon and Thomas Cagle.
