It was on February 21, 1988, at Camp Lejuene, NC, the larger-than-life adventure of Sean T. Loyland all began. From a very young age, he made certain each day was filled with zest, with getting the most out of life. Beyond stubborn, Sean was also determined to live life on his own terms. Yet, he was exceedingly generous, kindhearted, and fiercely loyal. If Sean chose you as a friend, you would be a friend for life. Making friends wherever he went in life, Sean gathered friends from all walks of life. Sean lit up every room he entered with wittiness, laughter, and a smile. Discovering comedy early in life, Sean loved entertaining family and friends for hours with comedy bits and memes. Sean was a man of big philosophical ideas and loved having lengthy discussions, having very few phone calls that lasted less than two hours.

Sean often said, “I am a Jack of all Trades and a Master of None!” He was a massive fan of Dungeons & Dragons since he was a teen, creating memorable characters for different campaigns. Sean spent countless hours playing Trivia, card games, and board games that focused on strategy. He was extremely competitive and blamed it on being a Viking. With a taste for good food, Sean was always on the hunt for a fabulous meal and kept a list of his favorite restaurants. He also loved to cook, never afraid to try new recipes and share what he discovered with others. Sean loved the peaceful moments in nature; crawfishing, hiking and just being outdoors. Sean loved being at the horse racetrack and mastered all the facts and stats. Most of all, if it was something he loved doing, he wanted to share it with those he loved.

Sean’s forever presence and love will be sadly missed by his mother, Lanelle (Ralph) Arnt; sister, Jamie (Justin) Loyland-Hitch; many other loving relatives and friends. Exceedingly proud of his heritage Sean joined the ranks in Valhalla.
