Sherry Jakel, age 77, of New Prague, formerly Buffalo and Granite Falls passed away on January 21, 2023, at Mala Strana Assisted Living in New Prague.
Sherry Lee Jakel was born in Crookston, MN on December 3, 1945, to Jackson and Shirley (Anderson) Granger. She graduated from Clara City High School and went on to Lab/Tech training at Minneapolis Community College. Sherry worked at Granite Falls Hospital and Warners Manufacturing in Sacred Heart.
She was married to Lester Jakel December 1967 to February 1983 and had two children. Sherry enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, bowling, card club and watching her favorite movies.
Sherry is survived by her sister, Jacklyn (Wayne) Steffens; children Stacy (Tom) Schultz, Chad (Tiffany) Jakel; niece, and many grandchildren and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents.
The family is planning a Celebration of Life in June.
