Steven L. Anderson

Steven passed away on June 28, 2022 at the age of 80. He was born on January 20, 1942 in Minneapolis, MN. He graduated from Vocational High School and Technical Institute on Jun 1, 1960, with a focus on architecture and construction. He started his company SL Anderson Construction shortly after graduation. He married Judy Smith in 1963 and moved to 4611 Clinton Ave, Minneapolis MN. He was blessed with the birth of 4 children: Kelly, Tracy, Wade and Rachel.

He moved his family to Carver, MN in 1972 where he continued the growth of his construction business and a new hobby of a family hobby farm. The children were tasked with the responsibility of taking care of a variety of animals.

His love of construction motivated him to volunteer his time, energy and knowledge in helping with building many Kingdom Halls of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the upper Midwest over the years.

In addition to his construction business and hobby farm, Steve was also an avid reader. A hobby he instilled in all of his children and grandchildren, with a significant number of books being read by all in the family. He enjoyed spending time with his family whether it was just hanging out in his shop or helping his children work on various projects or vehicles. There are many memories of the family vacations including: on the water in boats, road trips and skiing.

He was preceded in death by his parents Albert and Frances Anderson. His granddaughter Taylor Mae Anderson. His brothers, Howard and Bruce Anderson, and sister Lois Lane. His nephew Garrett Anderson.

He is survived by his children Kelly (Jodi) Anderson, Tracy (David) Ciaccio, Wade Anderson and Rachel (Brad) Elwood. His grandchildren Lindsay (Nathan) Wenstad, Levi Anderson, Lauren (Darren) Thomas, Mason Elwood, Payton Elwood and Stone Elwood. His great grandchildren Ian Anderson, Bella Thomas, Ari Thomas, Evie Thomas and Isla Thomas. His nephew Adam Anderson and nieces Jennifer Day, April Anderson and Shannon McDonald

Steve was known for his big personality and incredibly contagious laugh. He loved designing and building log homes with his hard-working crew, many of whom were also close friends. He loved his God Jehovah and his family very much.

We look forward to welcoming him back in perfect health and a sound mind in the coming paradise as promised by his loving and merciful God Jehovah.
