Tom was born November 20th, 1959 in Shakopee, Minnesota to Raymond and Susan Prady. He was the second oldest of seven children. He lived in Credit River until they moved to Prior Lake in the mid 1960s. He graduated from Prior Lake High School in 1978. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1983 with bachelor degrees in sociology and business..
He worked for the family business, S & R Box company, for many years and spent the last 20 years as a taxi driver. Being a taxi driver had its advantages; he could always tell you how to get anywhere in the Twin Cities and knew the best places to grab a bite to eat.
Growing up, Tom enjoyed many summers fishing with his family on Leech Lake in Walker. He was a standout baseball player in high school and then played softball on his company’s team. He was also a softball umpire for several years. The Minnesota State Fair was a must on his yearly to-do list. Tom enjoyed Sunday brunch and spending time with his family.
Tom was a funny, sarcastic, quick-witted, and generous man. He was a proud dad and recently earned the title of grandpa when he welcomed his first grandchild shortly before he passed.
He is survived by his son, Andrew (Katey) Prady; granddaughter, Evelyn Prady; siblings, Deb (Greg) Simon, Mike (Susie) Prady, Michele Prady, and Scott (Audrey) Prady; nieces and nephews, Brittany (Jeffrey) Kotta, Kyle (Kassie Diaz) Prady, Danielle (Erik) Swenson, Tina (Jake) Bastyr, Jonathan (Heidi) Simon; great nieces and nephews, Connor Kotta; Bailey, Mckenzie, and Megan Bastyr; Chelsie and Charlie Simon."
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Susan (Jensen) Prady; brothers, Tim and Danny Prady.
