Timothy D. Harper

Timothy Dale Harper, age 79, of Prior Lake, MN, passed away on November 8, 2024. Services will be held at a later date.

Tim was born on December 27, 1944, delivered at home by his grandmother in Chicago, IL.

Tim is survived by his loving wife, Roberta (Bobbie) Harper of 59 years of marriage, their eldest son, Timothy B. Harper (Daniel and Anna Harper and Giana) their daughter, Colleen Salerno and son-in-law, Anthony (Michael, Joshua-Laina and FaithAnn) and youngest son, Michael Harper and daughter-in-law, Becky (Grace and Olivia).

Tim grew up on a small farm in Lisle, IL with his parents and 2 brothers Frederick and Gary. He had a love of music, playing the guitar and loved animals which he and Bobbie took in several dogs and cats throughout their marriage.

Tim attended Devry University in Chicago which led him to a dedicated 39-year career with Motorola communications in Illinois and Western Canada. Tim was outgoing and hardworking, Tim had a sense of adventure and motivation working in telecommunications and sales management reaching distances into the Arctic. He moved his family to Alberta, Canada and later moved to Minnesota.

After retirement Tim was an active member of St. Michael’s Parish bible studies, cemetery committee and watchmen men’s group. He was an active member of the community and avid sportsman with the Prior Lake Sportsman's Club and Auxiliary member of the Prior Lake VFW.

Tim will be truly missed by his family and missed by his community.
