It was a beautiful fall day on November 15, 1955 when Edward and Adeline (Sand) Farrell celebrated the birth of their beautiful baby girl, Victoria Lee Farrell. Vickie was the middle of seven children and loved growing up in Shakopee with her brothers and sisters. Vickie loved spending time with her friends and was always up for a good time. She graduated from Shakopee High School in 1974.

Soon after graduation, Vickie married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Chuck Everett. Chuck and Vickie met long before high school as they grew up only one block away from each other. They began dating sophomore year, and their love blossomed. Chuck and Vickie exchanged wedding vows on June 7, 1975 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Shakopee.

It was always Vickie’s dream to have four children (two boys and two girls), and her dream eventually came true; Chuck and Vickie were blessed with four wonderful children, Heidi, Heather, Derek and Drew. In 1980 the Everett family moved into Vickie’s childhood home, and she was able to raise her children in the same house she grew up in.

They spent as much time as they could together as a family. They especially liked camping. Their favorite spot was Fish Lake. They’d spend the weekends swimming, biking, and sharing stories around the camp fire. The entire family (even the dog) would sleep together in the pop-up camper. Vickie and Chuck also took their family on lots of road trips. They went to South Dakota, Washington D.C. and took many trips up to Duluth.

While the kids were young Vickie did in-home daycare for many of her nieces and nephews. She had a passion for children, and kids always loved her. She continued to pursue her passion for children when she took a job in the Prior Lake School District and later in the Shakopee School District. Vickie worked for 20+ years as the Food Service Administrator in Shakopee, and she loved her work.

After their kids were grown and out of the house, Chuck and Vickie had more time to themselves. They enjoyed being together no matter what it was they were doing. They’d go to car shows, spend time with friends at the VFW, and go to the local casinos. Vickie always played the slot machines, and she had a favorite machine at every casino they went to. They even took an annual trip to Las Vegas.

Family was always the most important thing in Vickie’s life. She loved going on little getaways with her husband, shopping for bargains with her girls, and showering her grandkids with love. Vickie couldn’t get enough of Katelynn and Carter. She had them convinced that Grandma had special powers and knew everything.

Vickie was truly a special woman. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always having fun and enjoying life. Vickie was extremely generous and would do anything for anyone. She was a faithful wife, loving mother and wonderful grandma.

She will be remembered always by her husband of 39 years, Chuck Everett; children, Heidi (Jesse) Emerson, Heather (Matt Pudlitzke) Everett, Derek (Jen) Everett, Drew (Missy) Everett; grandchildren, Katelynn Hergott and Carter Everett; siblings, Larry (Donna) Farrell, Shirley Wickham, Duane Farrell, Chris (Chuck) Kloos, Ronnie (Arlene) Farrell, Kenny (Michaela) Farrell; many nieces and nephews; a special four-legged friend, Axel; other loving relatives and friends. Vickie is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Edward Farrell; nephew, Scottie Farrell.
